Caravan questions
Which Starlink plan for a caravan?
Roam. Roam 100GB is $85 a month for occasional trips; Roam Unlimited is $210 for people who live on the road. Both can be paused between trips, and both get the free month through our link.
Starlink Mini or the standard dish for a van?
The Mini. It is small, has the Wi-Fi router built in and runs straight off 12 V. The standard dish wants 240 V or a big inverter and takes real roof space.
How do I power a Starlink Mini from 12 V?
A fused 12 V lead off the van or vehicle battery, with a booster where the run is long or the voltage sags. We fit it, fuse it and seal the cable entry. It draws roughly 25 to 40 W.
What mount survives corrugations?
A flat or protected mount bolted to the roof rack or the roof itself, not suction cups. We stock the flat, protected and magnetic mounts and pick by the vehicle.
Can I use Starlink while driving?
Roam supports in-motion use in Australia with a proper mount. The Mini on a roof mount handles it.
Do you do caravan parks?
Yes. We install Starlink for park offices and shared Wi-Fi as well as guests' vans. Ask about the flyer for your park's noticeboard.
