Starlink mounts and brackets

Starlink ships with a base meant for flat ground. On a house, a shed or a vehicle it needs a mount that suits the roof, and that choice is most of what separates one install from the next.

Matching the mount to the roof

Every one of these is a mount we carry on the van, not something ordered in.

Where it goesWhat we fitWhy
Corrugated tin roofHeavy-duty roof mount + pole adaptorBolts through the ridge, sealed at every fixing, sits high enough to clear the gutter line
Tile roofTile mountHooks under the tiles instead of drilling them, so nothing cracks and nothing leaks
Fascia or wallWall bracketKeeps the dish off the roof where the sky is clear to the north
Shed, or trees in the wayFree-standing pole, cable run back to the buildingGets the dish above the citrus and the sheds, where the sky is clear
Caravan, 4WD, truckFlat or protected Mini mount, 12 V stepped up to 24 or 48 VBolted to the rack or roof, because suction cups let go on corrugations

What we stock

Kept on the shelf in Renmark.

  • Starlink pole adaptors and pipe adaptors for the standard dish
  • Heavy-duty galvanised roof mounts and tin-roof mounts
  • Brush plates for where the cable passes through the wall, so the hole is sealed and finished
  • Starlink Mini flat mounts, protected mounts and magnetic mounts
  • Step-up converters, Anderson leads and fused tails for vehicles and boats: raw 12 V goes up to 24 V or 48 V, whichever the kit wants

Already have a mount?

We fit customer-supplied mounts all the time, including farms where the owner had already bought two kits and the brackets and just wanted them up and sealed properly.

Prices for the install itself are on the cost page.

Mount questions

What mount do I need for a corrugated tin roof?

A heavy-duty roof mount bolted through the ridge with a pole adaptor on top, sealed at every fixing. It is the most common mount we fit in the Riverland.

What about a tile roof?

A tile mount that lifts and hooks under the tiles rather than drilling them, with the cable brought in through a brush plate. Nothing is cracked and nothing leaks.

Can I just buy a mount from you?

We supply mounts with an install. If you already have the dish up and only need a better mount, ring us and we will price the swap.

Will you fit a mount I bought myself?

Yes. We have fitted plenty of customer-supplied mounts, including two-house jobs where the owner already had the kits and brackets.

Do you do mounts around Mildura?

Yes, by arrangement. Mildura, Irymple, Red Cliffs, Merbein and Wentworth get grouped so the travel is shared.

What holds a Starlink Mini on a vehicle?

A flat or protected roof mount bolted to the rack or the roof. Not suction cups: they let go on corrugations.
